Tell Me Something Good

Real Money, Real World

Things Got REAL with Real Money.Real World

134 Camden County Early College and Camden County High School students learned personal finance with a Real Money. Real World. (RMRW) simulation provided by Camden County Cooperative Extension.
Each student was assigned a career before the simulation. During the simulation the students used their monthly income to purchase goods and services at each booth. The booths provided a variety of services such as transportation, housing,  groceries, child care, utilities, etc. Along with Camden’s Cooperative Extension professionals, local business professionals, county officials, and school officials helped run booths for this simulation.
Comments from students:
“Does it really cost this much money to live?”
“This has been eye opening!”
“It is important to make a budget.”
“Kids are expensive!”
