Winter Agriculture Meetings

Please download the 2024 Camden Extension Winter Agriculture Meetings schedule. Please find pre-registration links for a number of the upcoming winter meetings, we ask that you register for the events you plan to attend. If you have any issues with pre-registration please contact the Extension office.

Soybean Variety Trial Results

Please download the results from the 2023 Northeast Ag Expo Soybean Variety Trials. These trials were conducted in Camden, Chowan, Currituck, and Pasquotank counties. Thank you to each of the local farmers and agribusinesses for their contributions to these trials. Without their support, we would not be able to provide this locally generated information to the region’s growers. I would like to especially thank Down River Farms for providing the land and other resources necessary for the Camden County location.

Pesticide Exam and Review Session

For farmers that do not have a pesticide license and wish to take the test to get one there will be a review session on February 16th, 9:00-11:30 a.m. followed by the test starting at 1:00 p.m. at the Pasquotank Extension Office.

Northeast Ag Expo Small Grains Field Day

The 2024 Northeast Ag Expo Small Grains Field Day will be held on February 7th from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at K & L Farms, 987 Cherry Glade Rd., Elizabeth City, NC 27909. This event will highlight research being conducted on site and include presentations from an array of NC State University Extension Specialists.
