The first year of the Camden Canning Contest was successful despite the cancellation of the Camden Heritage Festival. N.C. Cooperative Extension, Camden County Center, and the County of Camden would like to thank all the participants and congratulate the winners. Best in Show was awarded in the following categories: 

Adult (ages 20-64)

Fruits and Vegetables-Michele Davis- Mild Salsa  

Pickle/Relish- Michele Davis- Pickled Jalapeños  

Preserves, Jams and Conserves- Michele Davis- Peach Jam 

Senior (ages 65 and up)

Fruits and Vegetables- Carolyn Jennings- Cowboy Candy  

Pickle/Relish- Linda Everette- Cinnamon Cucumber Rings 

Preserves, Jams and Conserves- Carolyn Jennings- Peach Jam  

N.C. Cooperative Extension offers a variety of canning classes each year beginning in April or May. Check out our website or follow us on social media to be updated on the classes that are offered.
