Building a Can Lamp with Currituck County 4-H
Camden County 4-H is heading over to Currituck and joining Currituck County 4-H on this great workshop. This workshop is designed to give youth an opportunity to learn hands-on how to wire a lamp. Bring a 12-ounce soda can of their choice to make your lamp, all other supplies and tools will be provided. There is a $10 fee to participate in this workshop, and you must complete the pre-registration process. The deadline to register for this workshop is November 21, 2018. This workshop is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Youth will need to bring a bag lunch to this workshop. Building a Can Lamp Registration.
Youth ages 8-12 will try their hand at robotics with Lego robotics in the Conference Room at the Camden County Library on November 27, 2018. Build and program a robot to complete tasks in this friendly, supportive environment! No prior experience needed. Dinner will be provided. Teen volunteers welcome! Registration cost is $5. Robotics Night registration.
4-H Livestock Information Night
Interested in raising livestock for the annual Albemarle Area 4-H Livestock Show and Sale but have some questions? Come out and learn about raising and showing livestock for the show and how to complete your project record book on November 29, 2018, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Camden County Library. You will also learn about resources in the area. Be sure to bring your questions! All ages and families welcome!
Cloverbud: Robots and Holiday Cookies
Have fun before the holidays and bring your youth, ages 5-8, to explore Dash and Dot robots on December 13, 2018, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Camden Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. We’ll learn some basic programming with these cute robots. Plus we’ll decorate some cookies! Enjoy a sweet treat and have a fun and exciting evening with your youth! Registration cost is $5.
