Gardening can be a fun and relaxing hobby, but when harvest time arrives and you find yourself with an abundance of produce, what should you do? Join the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Camden County Center’s Home Food Preservation Series, and learn the art of canning your harvest.
Event Details:- Date & Time: Each class runs from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
- Location: Camden Public Library, Community Room
- Fee: $10.00 per class (includes canning supplies and recipes)
- Description: Learn to make apple butter. The principles taught will apply to most jam recipes. You will also learn how to use a water bath canner to process the jars.
- Description: Discover why certain fruits and vegetables require a pressure canner and learn the techniques for safely pressure canning fresh produce.
