Do you have pesticides at your home or farm that you no longer need or use? If your answer is ‘yes,’ then you’ll be interested in the Camden County Pesticide Disposal Day. This event will allow you to safely dispose of old or unwanted pesticides at no cost. The pesticide collection is taking place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. behind the Camden Public Library at 118 NC Highway 343 North, Camden, NC 27921.
The N.C. Cooperative Extension, Camden County Center, in cooperation with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, will be offering the Pesticide Disposal Day for residents in Camden, and all surrounding counties. There is no fee associated with this event. The local site manager will be Austin Brown, Camden County Extension Director.
Nearly all pesticide products will be accepted. For liquid pesticide containers larger than 5 gals or for unlabeled pesticides, please contact the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Camden County office for information before bringing them to the collection event.
