Now Accepting Applications

Do you enjoy cooking, eating, local food work, or learning more about food? If so, consider joining the NC State Extension Master Food Volunteer (EMFV) Program.

The 2026 EMFV application is now open for residents of Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Perquimans, and Pasquotank Counties. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. The EMFV Program allows North Carolina residents to support N.C. Cooperative Extension by assisting with community education in nutrition, cooking, food safety, and local food systems. Volunteers help deliver research-based information through Extension programs, classes, and events that strengthen community health and food knowledge.
