Plant-parasitic nematodes feed on crop roots while directly and/or indirectly damaging plant health and potentially reducing yield. To assist with this the Agriculture Extension agents of Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Gates, Pasquotank, and Perquimans Counties teamed up to determine the type and frequency of nematode populations in Northeastern North Carolina. Samples were taken from 120 soybean fields within the 6-county area in October of 2020. Results from the study can be accessed here: 2020 Northeast Ag Expo Nematode Study Report.
