Submissions will continue to be accepted for the 2 in 1 Photography Contest– the Dr. Kim Ingold 4-H Photography Contest and the Youth Photography Contest at the Caldwell Agricultural Fair. Families looking for activity or project ideas for youth should visit 4-H.org. A number of 4-H at Home resources are available there.

April 22, 2021 —  We are pleased to announce that 2021 Summer Exploring registration is now open to the public!

As 4-H, we value youth development through hands-on learning in a safe environment. We are also a proud member agency of United Way.

Summer Exploring Catalog

Families may now view the 2021 Summer Exploring catalogIt outlines all of our short-term summer programs in one place. It is helpful to review prior to beginning registration.

Registration

Registration for Summer Exploring is a two-step process.

  1. Reserve your spot by registering in Eventbrite or by submitting a Junior Leader application.
  2. Enroll youth in 4-H Online to complete the process.

Access registration sites through the following links:

For the contest, sign in is required for security purposes. Contact Sarah Kocher at sarah_kocher@ncsu.edu, if you would like assistance with this.

In-Person Guidelines

We are excited to be able to offer in-person programs this summer!

Caldwell County 4-H does have its own set of guidelines and standards for in-person programs at this time. Youth and families are expected to review them and abide by them when attending in-person functions.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Accommodations

We will be happy to work with you to accommodate your child’s needs.

Accommodation requests related to a disability should be made at least three weeks prior to an event to Sarah Kocher at 828-757-1258 or sarah_kocher@ncsu.edu.

If transportation needs are communicated at least three weeks prior to a program, 4-H will work to discuss options with parents. Some programs allow more flexibility to accommodate transportation than others. This is not offered every year. Again, contact Sarah Kocher directly to discuss this.

For all programs, parents and all participating youth are required to sign a Code of Conduct form in which behavioral standards are outlined.
