salad greens grown in containersAre you looking for a fun way to get your child interested in cooking and eating healthy? If so, N.C. Cooperative Extension of Currituck County has the class for you! On April 23, 2020, from 4 until 6:30 p.m. youth ages,10 to 18 can join us for our container salad greens class. Youth will plant a delicious and beautiful container garden that can supply your whole family with healthy lunches all spring long. Let your child expand their horizons as they explore new ways to create healthy salads that everyone is sure to love. Stop by with the whole family at 6 p.m. to join us for dinner prepared by your new gardener and chef! Family dinner, a container garden, and all the recipes are included in the $20.00 class fee.

Reserve your child’s seat today by first completing the class registration and payment at youthcontainersaladgreens.eventbrite.com. Then complete your child’s 2020 4-H online enrollment at 4HOnline. We also accept cash and check payments in addition to paying via credit card through Eventbrite. Please, make checks are made payable to NC State University. Checks and cash payments can be received at the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Currituck County office 12 community way Barco NC 27917 prior to the class. Class size is limited and full registration, including payment, is required to hold your child’s spot. We will gladly help you complete your online registration, please feel free to call us at 252-232-2261, and we will walk you through the process.
