State Scholarships

North Carolina 4-H Camps has announced information about 2020 4-H camp scholarships, sometimes called “camperships.”

This year we have two types of scholarships:
1) Apply for FIRST-TIME CAMPERS – Scholarships up to $400 each available for first-time campers who meet the vulnerable youth population requirement. What qualifies as a vulnerable youth population? Check out our Frequently Asked Questions for more information and to apply.
2) Apply for RETURNING CAMPERS – Scholarships up to $400 each are available for returning campers who received a scholarship from the State 4-H Office in 2019. That means they belong to a vulnerable youth population AND attended overnight camp for the first time in 2019 under the State 4-H office’s scholarship program. Check out our Frequently Asked Questions for more information and to apply.

The Caldwell Agricultural Fair will select a recipient of a full campership this month. It will be awarded at the Achievement Banquet to one 4-H member whom meets the requirements outlined in the application – one of which is to exhibit at the fair. Eligible youth have been notified, and applications are due January 21, 2020.
