Do you have pesticides at your home or farm that you no longer need or use? If your answer is ‘yes’, then you’ll be interested in the Camden County Pesticide Collection Day. This event will allow you to safely dispose of old or unwanted pesticides. The pesticide collection is taking place on Thursday, February 28, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the parking lot beside the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Camden County office, located at 120 NC Highway 343 North, Camden, NC  27921.

The N.C. Cooperative Extension, Camden County Center, in cooperation with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, will be offering the Pesticide Collection Day for residents in Camden, and all surrounding counties. There is no fee associated with this event. The local site manager will be Austin Brown, Agricultural Extension Agent for Camden County.

Nearly all pesticide products will be accepted. For liquid pesticide containers larger than 5 gal or for unlabeled pesticides, please contact the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Camden County Office for information before bringing to the collection event. No gas cylinders are accepted at the event; however, assistance information can be provided.
