4-H Youth Volunteer Counselor Applications Open

— Written By Ali Huber

Camden County, N.C. – The 4-H Youth Volunteer Counselor program is a new opportunity for youth in and around Camden County to be volunteer counselors for several of the 4-H Summer Adventures happening in Camden County this summer. This program will provide teens, ages 16-19, volunteer experience, job skills and leadership development.

Teens can apply through the Camden County Cooperative Extension site and will receive training through interactive workshops with Camden County 4-H agent, Ali Huber. The 4-H Youth Volunteer Counselors will be able to assist in leading lessons in a supportive and educational environment. They will also provide support to youth through this structured program. Younger youth participating in 4-H Summer Adventures will be able to benefit from the mentorship this program facilitates.

Teens, ages 16-19, are encouraged to apply to be 4-H Youth Volunteer Counselors in Camden County for the 2018 summer. Space is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis.

For more information and for accommodations for persons with disabilities, contact Camden Extension Center at 252-331-7630 or email Ali_Huber@ncsu.edu no later than ten business days before the event.
