Do you have pesticides at your home or farm that you no longer need or use?  If your answer is ‘yes’, then you’ll be interested in the Camden County Pesticide Collection Day. This event will allow you to safely dispose of old or unwanted pesticides. The pesticide collection is taking place on Tuesday, February 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Camden Fire Department (114 Sawyers Creek Rd. Camden, NC 27921).

The Camden County Cooperative Extension Center, in cooperation with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, will be offering the Pesticide Collection Day for residents in Camden, and all surrounding counties. There is no fee associated with this event. The local site manager will be Austin Brown, Agricultural Extension Agent for Camden County.

Nearly all pesticide products will be accepted.  For liquid pesticide containers larger than 5 gal or for unlabeled pesticides, please contact the Cooperative Extension Office for information before bringing to the collection event.  No gas cylinders are accepted at the event; however, assistance information can be provided. Don’t miss this opportunity in Camden County. For more information, contact Austin Brown at the Camden County Extension Center at (252) 331-7630.
